This 324ce Builder's Edition uses a new type of tonewood for an innovative acoustic guitar with a design focused on sustainability and guitarists' needs. The star of this guitar is the Urban Ash tonewood which comes from trees in American cities that had to be felled. Instead of destroying this beautiful wood, Taylor came up with the idea to use this wood in the 324ce Builder's Edition. This sustainable tonewood is used in the sides and back and has a similar tone to high-tier mahogany. Coupled with the mahogany top, this gives this Grand Auditorium a distinct midrange presence, clear highs and a rich low end. The Silent Satin finish with a dark edgeburst treatment in combination with the ES2 electronics provides a noise-free acoustic guitar with a beautiful appearance.
